Global food supply is faced with enormous challenges. The rapid rise in global population is leading to a swelling demand for food and, as income rises worldwide, the race is on to meet the changing nutritional needs of an increasingly affluent population. On the supply side, environmental pressures and urbanisation are putting further strains on our already limited resources. Compelling investment opportunities exist in agriculture and agribusiness worldwide currently and over the long-term. With demand expected to persistently outpace supply in many commodities for the foreseeable future, prices as a result are set to stay high for the next decade and possibly, beyond.
