Conference 2017 - overview & registration

An exceptional tapestry is far more than just the sum of its individual threads, and a masterpiece painting is far more than just the sum of its brush strokes. So too is an investment portfolio far more than just the sum of the many individual investment decisions and strategies that must be made and woven together, based on investment beliefs.

And, unlike the past 35 years when equity and bond prices were boosted by declining inflation and interest rates, and rising corporate profitability, in today’s lower return, increased risk environment, practitioners must take even greater care that every investment decision contributes positively to a portfolio meeting its objectives. Every little bit counts.

Strategies Conference 2017 facilitates debate on a selection of contemporary and emerging portfolio construction strategies, with particular emphasis on how each one contributes to a better quality portfolio. It all adds up!

We'd welcome you joining us!

About Strategies Conference 2017

PortfolioConstruction Forum Strategies Conference has gained a reputation as THE portfolio construction strategies conference of the year. Curated and updated around a new theme each August, the jam-packed, live and webcast program features 25+ intensive, objective, interactive sessions and 35+ carefully selected international and local portfolio construction experts debating their best ideas on contemporary and emerging portfolio construction strategies, in the context of the theme "It all adds up!"

Strategies Conference 2017 will challenge and refresh your portfolio construction thinking, giving you meaningful takeouts to apply in practice, to build better quality investor portfolios.

Like all our continuing education programs, Strategies Conference 2017 is an integrated learning program with preparation, participation and review.

To maximise your learning, you will be provided with pre-reading aimed at boosting your knowledge and getting you thinking about the issues to be addressed in the program. The preparation is assumed prior knowledge for all delegates.

The two-day program is designed and curated by our specialist, experienced and independent team, and features leading investment thinkers from around the world, offering their best ideas on contemporary and emerging portfolio construction strategies, in the context of the theme "It all adds up!"

The program features the 10-hour plenary style "Critical Issues Forum" program and three hour elective "Due Diligence Forum" sessions, each featuring four electives. You attend all the Critical Issues Forum sessions and three DDF sessions at the program, and afterwards you can "attend" the rest of the DDF sessions via the online webcast (and earn further CE accreditation).

CE Hours

The live Strategies Conference 2017 will be accredited for 13 CE Hours that can be used to help meet the CE/CPD requirements of 15 regulators, associations, institutes and designations. Please read our CE accreditation policy below.  After the program, a further 9 CE hours can be earned by attending the remaining DDF sessions you didn't catch at the program.

After Strategies Conference, delegates' learning continues. The sessions - presentations, videos, podcasts, and papers – are webcast on afterwards.

You can revisit the sessions you attended, "attend" the DDF sessions you didn't catch at the live program (and earn further CE hours), as well as access the support material referred to, and review your key takeouts and portfolio construction implications to determine actions to take to build better quality investor portfolios.
