Due Diligence Forum summary |
Over the recent period of market dislocation, inflation has been the least of many investors concerns. But as markets begin to normalise, thought must be given to the threat that rising inflation poses. The inflationary pressures we are witnessing in emerging markets are spilling over into developed economies. More worryingly, this is coinciding with a forecasted slowing of growth. This presentation and underlying research paper examine whether we can continue to blindly rely on central banks to win the fight against inflation for us, or is it time that we looked at defensive asset allocation as a way to inflation proof our portfolios? |
