On Thursday 17 November, 2016 the PortfolioConstruction
Forum team said a very sad goodbye to
our beloved sausage dog, Schnitzel von Krumm (aka "Puppy").
Many Forum Members will have noticed his mop-like
physique at our live continuing education programs (most notably,
at Conference 2016 - the long and short of it - where he
made his stage debut), or had the pleasure of
being permitted to scratch him when visiting our
offices.... but don't be fooled! He was really our
Security & Compliance Manager, with a serious job to do!
Schnitzel worked in the Australian wealth management sphere since his birth in 2005. He's
barked, more than once, at suspicious activity during
phone calls, meetings and fund manager presentations. He's visited
numerous offices around Sydney. He has been the
Christmas Elf to Graham's Santa at numerous FPA
Christmas lunches, and he had special exemptions
at both the Hilton Hotel and Australian Technology Park.
Following a one year induction and training course as a
cute puppy, Schnitzel began working in the position of
Managing Sausage. His role included alerting us to
intruders, licking, fetching and sitting.
Schnitzel was then
promoted to the position of Security and Compliance
Manager at PortfolioConstruction Forum, a position he
held for the rest of his life. His duties were
varied and highly skilled. They included sleeping,
looking cute, barking at couriers, and rolling on his
back for a tummy-rub. He was responsible for occasional peeing-on-the-floor functions
of PortfolioConstruction Forum.
Schnitzel was known for the rare combination of
exceptional chewing and gnawing skills across the
continuing education space. This, combined with his
passion for bin surfing and dog biscuits, led him to become
an indispensable member of the team.
Schnitzel held a Bachelors degree in Barking, majoring
in Sniffing and Scratching, with a Masters in Begging.
The Forum team has compiled the following montage,
and three special video tributes to Schnitzel von Krumm.
He is much missed by all. |
