Watching the events of the past week unfold in Egypt evokes mixed emotions for all Egyptians, both those living in Egypt and abroad. In one corner, there’s hope. Perhaps this really is the end of the autocratic regime that has ruled Egypt for decades and, as a result, the beginning of a democracy. In the other corner, there’s fear.
