Trump 2.0 will widen the gaps in markets

The 2024 US election result could potentially upend assumptions about global growth and markets in the years ahead. President Trump has sweeping latitude to enact major government reforms, including raising trade tariffs, changing regulatory policies, clamping down on illegal immigration and cutting taxes. Meanwhile, he will likely test the independence of the US Federal Reserve and further destabilise geopolitics. Be prepared for a much less predictable market backdrop. The next four years could be Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA) on steroids!
