In his "Portfolio construction 2.0" presentation at PortfolioConstruction Forum Conference 2012, Michael argued that MPT is not broken, it has just been (badly) misapplied for the past 60 years - and that appropriate use of MPT results in dynamic asset allocation, requiring forward-looking projections which can lead to more efficient and better risk/return trade-offs.
