Expect stock markets to rally in Q2

Equity investors were hit by three Black Swan events in the first quarter of 2020 – the Coronavirus pandemic, a sharp decline in oil prices, and the resulting stock market dysfunctionality – which triggered a sell-off comparable to those seen in 1929, 1987 and 2008. But with crisis comes opportunity. Much of the bad news is already reflected in prices and, while stock markets will re-test their lows in the coming weeks, expect a rally during the second quarter of 2020.
