Incorporating ESG considerations into portfolios has become mainstream over 2020/21. An important question to consider with respect to sustainable investing is whether it does good both for the investor and the general community. There are numerous papers that have addressed the investment performance of sustainable investing - but very few have investigated whether this form of investing actually achieves the intended good for the community.
